THE RELLIQUARY'S FOUNDER:

Davin Rich

Hey! Happy to have you here! I'm currently a second year Game Design student at Northeastern University with a specialization for Narrative Design. I bring over four years of experience as a homebrew Dungeon Master for D&D, where I’ve developed strong skills in narrative structure, worldbuilding, character development, improvisation, and collaborative storytelling. At Northeastern, I've served as the head of narrative for a multitude of game projects, working together with graduates and faculty members to create unique and fun game experiences. My most completed works include The Inferno's Call, Eciton Empire, and Skeleton Quest. I am passionate about crafting meaningful interactive stories and am eager to contribute my narrative design skills to a professional game development team. My goal has always been to put a little of myself in everything I do, so I can't wait to be a part of your journey!

DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS

As a homebrew DM of 4 years, I've had the pleasure of crafting vast expansive worlds that interconnect with the backstories of players that not only make the world feel alive, but also makes them feel as though they're a part of it. I've crafted 3 original worlds with their own government, military, history, religion, and diverse cast of characters. I've also whipped up multiple short-form stories that still manage to feel complete and curate to player experience. To me, Dungeons and Dragons was always more than just another TTRPG, but rather a game where core memories are created, and a story is written not just by the GM, but by the players as well. All of this is done with "fun" remaining the top priority while at the table. For organization, I use Obsidian and Google Docs to keep track of every little thing that takes place within the world, and I use map-making and stat block creations tools such as Inkarnate, Tetra-Cube, and Dungeondraft to create a more immersive experience for my players.

"Whenever a game is made, there's a little bit of the writer's soul that gets etched into its world. The artist becomes their art the same way the art reflects the artist. It's a cycle of creativity and self-expression that fuels the game industry and inspires others to join it. At its core, we're a family that helps each other become the best possible designers we can be. Never stop growing. Never stop writing."
